Welcome to my playground! Here you will find demos of my Advanced Profile and Advanced Forum as well other social networking modules. The idea is to show how Drupal can be used to make a social networking site and give you an idea of what modules to use to build your own.
Feel free to make an account and try things out. If you just want to post garbage to test, that's allowed, but I'd love it if people would put real or fun info in to make the profiles / forums more interesting as a demo. Please don't use this site to post issues about the modules. All the modules used here have issue queues that should be used. General discussion in the forums is ok.
To build this site
 Last update: June 30, 2008 Since this site is meant to demo the social networking ability of Drupal, I am including the recipe for building a site like this. The site is currently on Drupal 5.7 as a lot of the modules I use aren't ready for 6.x, yet. The theme I'm using is Pixture. Here is the current list of major modules in use on this site roughly grouped by category. USERS & PROFILES FORUMS & COMMENTING IMAGE HANDLING GENERAL INTERACTIVITY UTILITY ADMINISTRATION This tar file has them all as well as their dependency modules for easy grabbing. I strongly recommend running update_status if you use it as I'm sure at least one of these modules will be out of date by the time you download it. I'll update it from time to time but this is not an official repository and I offer no support for the modules in it nor do I guarantee they are secure. It is provided as a quick way to download them only and you are responsible for checking that they are current. |

I've updated all the modules on this site and generated a new tar file. I've also changed the theme. Nothing against the bluebreeze I was using; I just wanted a change. I still have some work to do with getting the avatars looking right on the front page stories and a few odds and ends here and there. This site is always a work in progress by its very nature. But it's looking pretty good and I'm out of time (as usual) so I'm putting it back online. Michelle |

This has nothing to do with Drupal but I'm trying to help get the word out. Kelly, a member of a Wisconsin forum I'm on runs a fish rescue / breeding business. She ran into bad luck with a scamming contractor and now the electric company is going to shut off her power in 2 days. The 12,000 fish she is currently caring for will all die when this happens. Folks, please remember that this is a demo site, not a support site. I do read all the posts so I can catch spam and may answer support questions if I happen to have time at that moment and it's an easy answer but I don't do any sort of tracking of them. If I don't have time / am not in the mood / whatever, the tab will get closed and it will only get answered if I happen to remember or notice it again. The proper place for support / bug reports is in the issue queues of the module(s) in question. |

I'm migrating the site from buddylist to user relationships and subscriptions to notifications and generally fiddling a bit. Looks like I broke a few things but I'm out of time to play right now so I put the site back online. Michelle |
