I have been working with Drupal's social networking modules since I decided to create a portal site for my local community, Coulee Region ONLINE, over a year ago. In that time, I've written tutorials and have now moved on to writing modules. I also like to try out all the modules written by others. A lot of people have taken an interest in what I'm doing and I find CRO being used as a test site a lot. I really want to keep that site clean and stop skewing the user list and statistics heavily with Drupal users. So I decided to create a demo social networking site both for myself to have a play area and for others looking to try out modules.
I will keep a separate dev site for Advanced Forum and Advanced Profile so this site should be relatively stable. Still, I will be installing a ton of modules onto shared hosting and this place may groan a bit under the strain. I'm also going to avoid automated spam protection for as long as I can so you may run into crap on here if I don't see it right away. If we get overrun with spam bots, I'll add in some protection.

A lot of people have asked me about doing an installation profile or distribution. Honestly, I don't have the time to maintain that and would rather focus on modules and tutorials. If you're interested in that, check out the Drupit Project.
