Notice you're using both the core-optional Contact module and Private Messages module. Could you explain your reasoning?

My thoughts so far - use one or the other - and perhaps PM might serve better:

1 - I don't like seeing both the "Contact" tab at the top of a uprofile AND the contact ("email") icon within the userinfo area of Basic Info - seems redundant.

2 - I'm assuming (haven't used yet - still testing stuff on my localhost site) that PM will send an email notification of new PM waiting (has to login to read?) to recipient? If this is the case, then wouldn't PM encourage more user logins? Sleep

Anyway, great work MC

Personal preference

I don't remember if private messages can be set to email you or not. Personally, I don't care for PMs. I'd rather people use my contact tab to email me. But people can use whichever they like on their own sites. I have them both enabled here because this is a demo site.

Both

I use both on my site.

I'm a bit more of PM person than an e-mail person for selfish reasons -- it forces people to come to my site, login and with any luck, submit some content. I activated the contact form mod because I needed it elsewhere on my site and if people end up using it more than PMs, I'm fine with that.
